well…kush is eating innova hard kitten food but we also give her wet food and formula in a dish too daily. but since my husband works and im in school the hard food is available to her all the time and she is doing good. she goes potty in her litter box and has found her favorite spot on the window sill behind our couches. shes VERY friendly (we have people over constantly and everyone handles her). shes very interested in going outside though and we dont have a screen door which worries me. shes not too quick yetanalready tries to bolt when we go in and out. i plan on getting her a harness and leash and taking her out (we live near a busy road and have a very small yard and our neighbors have outdoor cats but we have already seen a few dead kitties on the road =[) so letting her outdoors is out of the question. shes full of energy and im guessing her to be about 5 1/2 -6 weeks. she attacks our pit and they play non stop, but im definitely still mommy.

shes beginning to scratch at our rugs a lot and i was wondering if getting a scratching post this early would be a good idea or if shes doing it more out of kneading? its still hard for me to tell. and i still cant tell if shes going to be COMPLETELY short hair. she was so fuzzy and then got short hair but now is getting fuzzy again. i dont think shes going to be long hair but i think shes going to have some fluff to her. she looks like she stuck her paw in a light socket….her tail looks like shes constantly in a pissed off mode and puffed up but thats just how it is….here are some pictures from today!!

Kush is adorable! She just might have some longhair genes. It can’t hurt to get a scratching post, that way you can train her nice and early.

goofball is learning to jump on and off stuff too and she thinks shes superwoman and jumps off the windowsill….im so afraid shes gonna hurt herself. theres no way of stopping her though! the couch is directly infront it with just a small bit of the window without the couch and its not like she misses the couch…she purposely jumps on the floor…and usually does a summersault type deal in the process. shes nuts.

What a fluffy little ball of cuteness. She looks so cuddly.

Please tie back the cords to your blinds ASAP. You can either attach something to the wall to wind the cord around or flip the cords up on top of the blind. The reason you don’t want the cords hanging is because kittens (as well as dogs and babies)have been know to hang themselves with those cords.
