Thank you all for your sentiments. I’ve taken them to heart. As a life-long philanthropist — instilled in me by parents who always looked beyond themselves — and a friend to other philanthropists, I can honestly say the jury is still out on whether or not any of us seeks recognition. It is nice to be noted occasionally, but it’s certainly not the underlying motivation of a true philanthropist.
I contacted Terri privately, hoping to avoid this very situation, but Terri is a loving person and her intentions were good in sharing with you. There was a simple misunderstanding, and she and I have resolved it. I’ve stated I wish only to act as a consultant to ensure the TDK Fund stays on track of my original vision. I don’t feel I own it, nor do I wish to administer it. As the TDK Fund is not a formally established non-profit organization, it’s status remains that of a loving group of people who wish to help others during times of need. Let us remember this always. There is no need to complicate it with Officers or anything along those lines. Terri is a good Leader, and there is a reason I chose her and asked her to set up the Fund. If there is conflict among its members — resolve it quietly and respectfully. If someone wishes to step down, ask for another volunteer. And always, always, in charitable service, remember to act from the heart.
I have lessened my postings as of late for reasons I’d prefer to keep private, but none concerning the TDK Fund. I’m always here, watching and “listening,†and voting for Sponge Bob Pink Pants. Smiles…….
