It’s been four days since Lucy Belle’s SPA trip and I am happy to announce that she is recovering extremely well and is already 80% back to her old mischievous self. She is eating and drinking normally and using her litter box like clockwork.

I needn’t put a collar on her after all, although she did lick her stitches site, all three sutures are still intact. The surgery site is clean, dry and healing exceptionally fast. Even her furs are growing back nicely.

The little naughty girl even attempted to jump on the counter, the sink and the dining table, which are no paw zones! Maybe she is testing me to see if I would let her into the zone, taking full advantage of my leniency. But habits are hard to break and no matter how much she plead, rules are rules. Hehe ..

I am so thankful for her speedy recovery and also for everyone here who care so much about her wellbeing.

One more thing, Lucy Belle did vomit up some liquid on Friday night. She drank quite a bit of water and I didn’t even know she threw up until I saw the stain on the carpet. It’s like she hosed out all the water she drank and the liquid were splattered everywhere on the carpet, looks like a fan shape stain.

I called the vet and was told that I should monitor her more closely. It’s not much of a concern since she did just recover from surgery. She didn’t throw up again yesterday and today, so I think all is ok.

Oppps … Lucy Belle just came out of the loo. I gtg clean up coz the smell is breath taking!

Sounds like darling Lucy Belle is recovering nicely–as long as the vomiting has stopped, I wouldn’t worry too much about it–kitties can get nervous tummies just like us humans!

Glad to hear Lucy Belle is recovering. Lets hope that the vomited water was just because she drank too much. Hugs and purrs.

If it was only once I don’t think I would worry too much, tuttibella. From all my years in post-op I can tell you that most human patients do that, too! Only generally not on the carpet…… 🙂

Lucy Belle is meowing now. Her voice came back yesterday. I started another thread because she’s been back at the vet. 🙁
