    My family has a small kitten about two months old and he recently jumped off a table and is now having trouble breathing/breathing through his mouth and my mother can’t take him to a vet until Monday. Is there anything I can do to help him in the mean time?

    Hey Ven.. Is he breathing through his mouth? By this I mean is he keeping his mouth open while beating ? This “panting” is sometimes a sign of stress. He could have badly banged his head and hurt his nose that could be another reason if he’s keeping his mouth open or could be a sign if a damaged jaw. Again it depends how he fell.

    Keep him in a warm quiet place and give him access to plenty of fresh water and food . Keep a close eye on him if he starts to get drowsy or lethargic or if he won’t eat he’ll need to see a Vet ASAP. If he does get lethargic rub a little honey on the inside of his mouth this will help if he goes into shock.

    Thank you I i took him to a vet he has a kitty cold and is doing much better 🙂

    Thank goodness that your kitty’s fall didn’t seriously injure him, that you got vet advice and that your furry is on the mend.

    I’m glad to hear that, Ven. Purrhaps you will join us and have him as a Daily Kitten post. I would love to see him.
