    I have a question about my 71/2 week old kitten. Just inside his mouth on each side of his mouth are blackish spots. They are rather big. He won’t let me look at them. I have seen them before when I had younger cats but I am wondering if this is a problem and if maybe it is because he is teething? He needs his shot and I plan on taking him in soon for those but should I be concerned about this?

    I believe the black spots are normal and are pigmentation. As long as they are not raised or ulcerated then they should be alright. Some cats also have this pigmentation on their paw pads.
