Hi guys. I’m in need of a little advice. I’ve currently got 2 litters of kittens, from 2 different mums.
1 litter is 4 weeks, the other 2 and half.
They are all healthy little things with very loud squeaks.
The problem I am having is that the mum of the youngest litter is trying, and preferring it, it seems, to look after and feed the older litter. What I want to know us if this is normal and safe or should I remove they’re box and put it in another room

You don’t say whether they are confined to the house or allowed to roam. I would probably confine each cat with her litter to a different room, that way they can concentrate on their own litter. I’m afraid if you don’t, the one cat will take over both litters and not be able to produce enough milk for all of them, then you will be hand rearing a lot of kittens.

There have been multiple instances of two mama cats sharing the duties of raising two litters. If separating them isn’t possible, or doesn’t work, consider creating a big nesting box for all of them to share.
