    Hi Everybody,

Be proud and celebrate yourself on this day! You should do this by taking off the day for work and send your pet(s) to work in your place. The idea is that we get a turn at lying on the carpet or bed, while our fluffy friends try out their talents in the workplace. As with any new wacky holiday, there are some kinks to work out but hey, who knows what our fur babies could do… I found this holiday amusing and in the realm of fantasy but what do you think?

How ironic that this day falls on a Caterday!

It’s another lovely day so enjoy it!

    Have a happy ~

It’s been a very wet day here all day and HRH Shadz has either been outside getting drenched and then asking to be towelled off or curled up asleep inside. I visited my grandkits and they were scrapping for the best spot in front of the fire, quite funny to watch them taking little swipes at each other and flashing stink-eye at each other.
Very tired tonight so I will bid you all good night early.

Morning PG and Night MS! …. great theme and pics today! ….. Abby ‘works’ with me everyday, curled up in her brown donut bed at the foot of my desk! LOL my assistant!

….. today is ‘spruce up the homestead’ day for me, I have my handyman coming over to paint a couple of rooms, and am re-arranging some furniture and getting rid of some old stuff that is really just ‘clutter’ …. Spring cleaning to the max! Hazel friend already spit shinned the house day before yesterday, so all is clean and sparkles!

….. had such a blast yesterday at the sand castle festival, I am always truly amazed at the artistry … it was really cute, the theme was fairy tales …. hope everyone has a great Caturday!!

Sounds like a perfect theme for sand castles, AV. Glad you and Mr. AV had such a great time.

Funny photos today! My kits are always in the planning stage.

Last night Eko and Leo had a nasty fight around 10:30 pm right when we were all about to drift off to sleep. First time that’s happened at this house. It took a while for everyone to settle down and took some adjusting who was in the room with us to keep them separate through the night. Bad night of sleep and early morning today for hubby’s on call and 8 am soccer game. Home now…did a bit of yard work, a bit of housework. Now I’m on forced rest with Emily on my lap. :).

I’m trying out a new recipe (so simple it’s almost not a recipe) for dinner. Salted 6 chicken legs, put them in the crockpot, the mixed some honey, Dijon mustard, Rosemary, oil, salt and pepper and poured that over the top. Will make my regular homemade Mac n cheese and a salad to go with.

Hi PG, AV & ECB, nighty-night MS. Love this theme! Since I’ve somewhat taken on a self imposed cat’s life it’s not too tough to switch jobs today. Pictures are so cute, and so like a cat to be behind schedule (with a perfectly good excuse, most likely), planning, and earning a human’s salary. After all, our income goes toward cat care anyway.
Fairy Tale sand castles sound so cool, AV! Hope you are having a good day sprucing up the homestead today.
Hope Leo and Eko are alright, ECB, and that no blood was drawn. Your chicken recipe sounds incredibly easy and delicious!
I was up and out early and spent the day at the animal shelter garage sale in my hometown. It is an absolutely gorgeous day and a lot of stuff went, though a lot is still there and there was a tent full of stuff we didn’t even bring out. Some people were generous and some took lots out and didn’t pay much. Only a few things were priced; everything else was “what you think it’s worth – it all goes to the shelter animals”. What brought in extra business was that the shelter is near a softball field and today was opening day, so a lot of folks drifted over from the games. Of course I came home with a few things I couldn’t live without, lol. I like large baskets – they are great for laundry and assorted things that I keep in the bathroom closet, a few books and a nifty barstool, as well as a few odds and ends.

Sounds like a great day for a yard sale, Joan. It was a beautiful day for soccer and yard work here too.

Eko and Leo are sleeping together on my bed now. They seem to be okay, but I’ll douse the place with calming spray again tonight and sleep with the bedroom door open to hear any problems. (They will probably be in the room with me in that case). No blood was shed, thank goodness. But lots of fur flew and I’m not sure what would have happened if we hadn’t separated them. Leo was intent on attacking Eko. And Eko, unlike Emily, won’t just retreat and hide..lol. Typical male. They have had a sometimes friendly, but with reservations, relationship since their first serious fight in Lubbock…the evening after our first house showing. Lots of stress during that time. But they had also just reached “social maturity”, age three or four for cats…they say relationships can change then.

Good afternoon all, it’s a lovely sunny day here and we have been moving firewood from one side of the basement to the other as Mr MS decided to create a new wood storage system. Now we can order in more wood for the Winter.
ECB I hope Eko and Leo are ok after their late night brawl and have sorted out their differences now.
Joan I’m glad you had great weather for the animal shelter garage sale and that you had so many come and check it out. I like baskets too and have several large baskets but I would love to find a way of storing/using them when they aren’t being used to take food/gifts at Christmas or birthdays.
    Back to the basement now.
