How do I let Sweet Pea know that she’s being way too rough? I’ve tried scruffing her and locking her in her kennel when she’s too rough, and I’ve tried yowling like a kitten would, but she either comes back twice as aggressive, or she stops for a minute or two and then goes back to scratching/biting. It hurts really bad, and she’s been drawing blood. I really don’t know what to do, and she’s too young for claw caps (I refuse to declaw her, even though sometimes that feels like my only option).

Have you tried clipping her claws? I clip all 4 of mine, hubby holds them while I clip. They all have white claws, so you can see the pink quick and not cut it. You just clip off the ‘hook’. She will settle down eventually, but you will have to play with her with toys, not your hands and feet. I know sometimes my kittens/cats just don’t take the hint. Just walk away from her and ignore her. It’s really hard when they won’t quit. She also needs toys that she can catch and kill, feather wands, kicky toys where she can bunny thump along with the laser that she can chase to wear her out.

I know this is hard to do but tell Sweet Pea NO and just walk away. If she follows you, ignore her. Wear slippers
