Hey the little Spankster! He is a very handsome young man. Love his dark markings and pink nose (and pink toes too). Looks like he has taken over the most comfy spot in the house. I guess it’s a cat thing.

You do a remarkable fandango any time you feel anything remotely tail-like under your foot, trying not to step on it.
Your usual sleeping position resembles an Egyptian hieroglyph, trying to fit around all the cats in the bed.
You routinely mishear your spouse in the same room, but you can hear a faint kitten mew the length of the house. And you can tell which kitten said it.
You can tell who climbed onto the bed in the dark by how much or little the mattress sags.
The furniture is arranged so the seniors can still climb to their high spots, and to heck with how it looks.
You can pick a random hair off your clothes and name the cat it came from.
You can pick out a sofa in 20 minutes, but pore over kitty ‘furniture’ for hours.
You usually choose plastic grocery bags at the store, but every so often you choose paper so the kitties will have a new one to play with.
Someone asks if you live alone and you blurt “Oh no, I have six cats!”

Just a quick update on how I am progressing with being a fosterer.
I have not had much to smile about since my accident, but a present I am fostering two brothers of 3 month old, and trying to socialise them, the trouble is that they have me in stitches every time they are both awake at the same time. The only chance I get of training is when they are not cuddled up to one another on my bed, leaving me to snuggle up on the couch. I would not change a minute of thier company. Why Oh why do kittens grow up.Still… when they go to their forever home, I shall be proud to have been part of their upbringig, and sorry for the new parents to have missed out on the best weeks of a kittens life.
As for Sparky. Have a wonderful life in your new forever home. A dozen virtual roses for your new family.
Another: I am on my knees at my computer desk right now as I type this, because my big orange sweetie is on a blanket in my computer chair! Mustn’t disturb him, it wouldn’t be right.
Spanky looks JUST like my cat Mork when he was a kitten. The color, the pink nose, the fuzzy white fur all the same! Even that bendy posture! Note the size of the big white paws…spanky’s gonna be a big boy!!!

Hi Rachel - My husband picked the name Spanky. We wanted something gender neutral since weren’t sure of the sex of the kitten when I first brougth him/her home (I was CERTAIN it was a girl!! HA,HA,HA…the vet was laughing when she informed me of Spanky’s actual gender). And his personality right off the bat was fresh and frisky and irrestible. Spanky just seemed to fit perfectly for this little cutie pie.
