Thea
This is Thea. She’s seven weeks old and very affectionate. Sometimes however she’s quite naughty and tries to nibble our fingers when she curls up into a ball. We just offer her one of her own pink feet instead - she chews on her foot for a while then thinks better of it. Hopefully this will train her not to nip fingers of feet - feline or otherwise!66 Comments »

Hi Thea! What a cutie! she’s just begging to be picked up and cuddled!
Thea is an angel! What a beautiful face.
She looks so sweet and innocent sitting there like that. Hello Thea!
What a doll. I love naughty fuzz.
She can sleep on top of my Pc monitor anytime
Good morning James,
Nice to hear pleasant thoughts. Thea is a beautiful little fuzz.
Have a *NICE* day James - if you know what I mean.
Linda—I think this is the Good James, unless (as I believe) there is really just one James and he delights in confusing us with his split personality. Did you read his last post yesterday?? Kittenmaster—did you read it?? Kinda CUCKOO!
The two James’ are definitely separate - ‘good’ James has an IP address which puts him the UK, whereas ‘bad’ James appears to be posting from Washington, DC.
Thanks so much for that info, kittenmaster! Washington DC, eh?? Perhaps an angry politician??
Thank you for validating my contention that there is a faux James on the prowl.
I nevertheless stand by all my previous kitty loving posts. Including the PowerBellyRubber(TM).
Kitties are meant to by loved, intensely, not just coo’ed over…
OK—Is this Good James or Evil James?? This is turning into a Twilight Zone episode!
faf al tel ya av met a lot of fit ladz but dis kitten has 2 b da best iz it 4 sale al make it 2 gud use!!!!! ie…pornography in the making
Awww…pretty fuzzy baby.
Oh, I want to keep her. So cuddlely!
Good morning all,
*WEE LITTLE THEA FUZZ*
Isn’t Thea just a cute little thing? I love her marbled little nose and her painted little toes. All little kitties like to nibble on fingers and toes. Kiara used to do the same and every time she would bite I would loudly say *OW*, it worked for her.
Rain! Rain! Rain!
I can’t take much more….
Yeah, we’re getting washed out where I am too.
What a cute little puffball Thea is! I love her little pink nose…
Thea can nibble my fingers anytime she wants. She is adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She’s a little sweetie. I love her little white toes.
Tabby folks.. doesn’t she have a nice *M* ?
Caroline—she has a beautiful *M*—I can’t let my tabby see her—he’s very jealous!
Pretty girl!
My 13 y/o STILL likes to bite my hands…and my ankles!
Debbie- –I’m assuming you’re referring to your cat and not one of your children! haha
She is a sweet, little angel. I’ve had plenty of kittens that nip fingers and toes. I think that is part of their “play” routine. One of our cats used to bite, then quickly lick our fingers-like saying “I didn’t really mean to hurt you”.
My taffy would lick first then bite I guess he wanted to make sure the skin was clean before he bit me! He also loved to lick my parfume’ off on my wrisits and neck. I think he was a bit of a alkie as he loved Q-tips soaked with Ambesol.
Thea is just the sweetest little thing! Those eyes are so trusting and full of curiosity. She’s a beauty!
What a cute lil bundel of kitty loves. She’s got some very beautiful tabby markings to go with her cute lil face.
My cat Snowy pinches my fingers when she wants attention. Hello Dee from Tampa
Kitten Master comment 36 James from yesterday is very disturbing and very sick!
I have deleted it. James is welcome here, but he’s gotta play nice.
Hey, Katnippia—I told kittenmaster, as well, about the WEIRD post—it’s been deleted. Thank you, kittenmaster!
cute. CUTE!
She is like part calico and part tabby!
And all CUTE!
Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts! We can’t go home quite yet, but have heard that our building is undamaged.
With ourselves and our kitties safe and dry we have much to be thankful for.
Alice—SO glad to hear everyone is ok—hope your building remains undamaged. Just like you and Mary Lynn were saying yesterday, it’s heartbreaking to think about the Katrina evacuees. They thought they were leaving their pets behind for a day or two and most of them were not allowed back into their homes for weeks. One of the saddest animal stories ever.
So thankful everything is going to be O.K. Alice.
^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
That’s got to be one of the cutest kitties I have ever seen. Awww…this wonderful little thing can nibble my toes anytime!
^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
She is adorable. Love the pink nose.
The petite little Thea is such an adorable baby tabby. Love her markings. From that perfect M on her forehead to the little splotchy nose to the eyeliner, she is kitten perfection. And look at those darling little toesies. And she seems very alert and poised. Total Tabby doll!
Thea is adorable! And, according to Babynames.com, Thea means “Gift of God.” How appropriate!
What beautifu kohl-rimmed eyes! Perhaps she’ll grow up to be a vamp?
THEA BARA FUZZ
She is not biting you, she is giving you “love nibbles”, my Indigo does that to me and she is 8 years old!
Anyway, Thea is absolutley adorable!
What a little cuteums—Love that sweet fuzz face!!! Makes you want to cuddle and pet her!!! Love the name!
Both my kitties, Polly & Helen nibble my fingers and toes–especially when they want my attention!!!!
Helen had a bit of a time when she would play too hard so when that happened I would raise my voice with a OW and now she does not bite so hard!!!!
This baby must have a sister out there somewhere. When I first saw this cute Thea, it seemed like I had seen her before. I agree it looks like she is saying, “please pick me up and love me.” Sure wish I could sweetie.
Thanks Kittenmaster for letting us know that there are two James’ out there.
Hey, everyone! Look how big the eaglets are! (This is the live feed from BC, Canada)

Alot of you have probably already read this, but for those who have not, it is REALLY funny.
*Excerpts From a Cat’s Daily Diary*
DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. In that way I shall be ready to flee at the first opportunity that presents itself. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. In yet another demonstration of civil disobedience, I shall topple and destroy one more houseplant tonight under the cover of darkness.
DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again vomited on the floor. I shall soon be expanding my repertoire; I believe I’ll start vomiting in their shoes and on their beds.
DAY 762 - Slept all day so that I could annoy my captors with sleep depriving, incessant pleas for food at ungodly hours of the night.
DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little hunter I was…Hmmm. Not working according to plan ……
DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a foamy chemical called “shampoo.” What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.
DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to my power of “allergies.” Must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.
DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. The captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so hie is safe—for now. But I can wait. It is only a matter of time…..

Dee those are really cute. is that out of a book?
Kat—-I think it’s from everywhere! It’s on the net, and I’ve seen it in cat magazines and the local “Pet Pages” (the yellow pages for pet needs). There are a few different versions—I think this one is the funniest. I’ve always loved the difference between cats and dogs! Dogs are just happy to be there, but you have to “earn” the love of a cat.
Another great insert for the day. Is this to become the norm? I really do love these daily stories!
Kim—you’re going to give me an even BIGGER head! haha!
Actually, I think that’s a good idea. Consider it done.
Norty but ever so nice.
Hey Chris, today’s picture on your blog is my favorite yet!!!!
Home again home again!
Thanks again everyone for all the good thoughts!
As far as our cats were concerned it was just a fun adventure…an opportunity to sniff unfamiliar things and make quizzical faces with their ears.
So glad everyone is fine. The footage of the flooding up there is just awful. Just heard a news report stating that 63% of Floridians who live on the coast don’t have a hurricane preparedness kit! Wasn’t Katrina a HUGE enough wake up call?!?!
Congrats Alice! Hope all is well at home! Your kitty children sound like they did a great job!
Your kitten is a cutie! Wow, I just wish I had one.
Oh how adorable. she looks like my Peanut.
Awww she reminds me of my friends cat! So cute! Awwww she makes you want to hug her! Awww cute!
Little Girl Lost *FUZZ*
Wait - that is a SUPERB tiny white inverted chevron (sort of) on Thea’s nose.
Beautiful!
This kitty another adorable baby! Please love and care for her always, and God bless her and you, too.
Innocent Fuzz! What me, I didn’t do anything!
What a pretty kitty! I once had 2 tabbies, Cocoa and Licorice, and they were the best kitties ever! They would play and run after each other and stayed pretty close. But would freeze if a thunderstorm came up! Yeah, I like the tabbies!
she’s beautiful! what a cutie…and she should outgrow the nipping. just like babies, they like to put everything in their mouths…lol
I can’t believe this beautiful girl isn’t totally innocent. Maybe you should rename her “Nipper”. She’ll probably grow out of her nip & chew stage, or maybe just get tired of doing it. Try a catnip toy. Anyhow, she has a very pretty face and markings.
what a cutie wish you the best with Thea
that cat is sooooocute I want to buy him right NOW!!
HE’S SOO CUTE IF I CAN GET HIM I WOLD RIGHT NOW!!!
I have had many happy kittens and have never known a more joyous time than when they are present. I have trained the kids (and myself) to always use a toy when playing with the kittens. Feather toys are a favorite but even a crumpled piece odf paper will do. The result is that the kids are almost never scratched and the kittens seek toys rather than fingers!
What a sweetie! She reminds me of what my own cat looked like at seven weeks old when I brought him home (except his ears and feet were a LOT bigger). I’m sure she’s outgrow the nibbling eventually. Mine did.
LOL thats funny cause my name is Thea as well
