Mercury
Please join me to meet and greet our newest Star Kit, Mercury. She is a 5 week old Tabby from Riverbank, CA.
Mercury was found abandoned in my backyard 2 weeks ago. She was very small and weak and we were worried she wouldn’t make it. A little bottle-feeding and a lot of love can go a long way! She just graduated to wet food and her personality has shown through over the past few days. Such a blessing!

Mercury is a little darling. She looks like she is thriving with your care.
Little Mercury is the cutest little girl I have ever seen (Mercury is a girl right). There is a stray where we live that thinks my husband and I are his mommy and daddy. I asked my mother-in-law, ‘how can you tell a male from a female’ and she told me ‘ if it keeps it’s tail up long enough for you to take a look and you see 2 little peas it’s a boy, if you don’t see anything it’s a girl’. I don’t think Mercury is old enough to tell yet.
That way works if the kitten is old enough for those little peas to drop but, if it’s still too young, there’s a good way to tell the kitty’s sex: Take a look below the tail, between the legs. If you see something round or conical, it’s a boy. If you see a slit (back to front) it’s a girl.

So good that Mercury ended up in your back yard so you could become her forever parents. She is so adorable and has a plucky look that should serve her well. Many happy years:)
