Please join me in meeting and greeting our Star Kit pair for the day, Champ and Ace. They are 6 month old Siamese from Falls Church, Virginia.
Champ and Ace are sweet rescued littermates who were found at 3 months old walking out of a garbage dump with their sister who was adopted separately. I adopted them one week ago and just found out they have feline leukemia. I’m sharing their story to show that kittens and cats with feline leukemia still deserve a chance. I’m giving them love and a good home.
Champ is a fun little guy who was born wearing white boxing gloves! He is a sweetheart who takes every challenge in stride. He’s got a great attitude and is a champion boxer and wrestler. On Christmas Eve, Champ actually meowed for the very first time, greatly surprising his brother and his mama! One funny fact about Champ is that he hops like a bunny up and down the stairs. He is a star soccer player and loves playing a pickup game in the den.
His little brother is named Ace. This kitten has swagger! He’s a lover and a fighter who is smooth with the ladies, most especially his mama. Ace is a very charming and will win you over within 0.5 seconds of meeting him. He’s a cool cat who loves his brother and his catnip toys! Ace is also a super snuggler. One funny fact about Ace is that he seems to understand some human words, and we are working toward teaching him how to fetch. He loves chasing and playing soccer with his brother, wrestling and most especially his “cat dancer” toy!
Champ and Ace have some big challenges ahead, but with their new mama’s help and lots of love, the future looks brighter.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Double POUNCE!
Thanks for giving these two handsome cat dudes a furever home. It is always a pleasure to hear about people who are willing to adopt special needs furballs. I hope you have many happy years together.
I had a cat with feleuk and he lived for many years ! Good luck with your handsome boys @
What handsome Meezers! Thank you for taking good care of these guys.
Mr. Champ and Mr. Ace are stunningly handsome meezers. Wearing dashing bow ties, no less! I wish for them to thrive under the care and love of thier awesome Meowmy.
I’m so glad you have one another!!!!!!!!
They look wonderful. I had a good time with a feluk boy a quarter of a century ago….when the vaccine had just come out…and he already had it. He had a good life, and when it was time to go, we did that. No regrets at all. Many happy years to you all.
Ace & Champ are strikingly handsome boys! So thankful they have you and each other?
I loved your beautiful story and I wish you so much happiness with your wonderful kittens!!!
We are siame-as if you ple-as
We rescued a litter who had FL. One that I had bonded with stopped eating and was dying at 2 years old. A friend of my wife suggested a tea made from about half dried red clover petals, and half catnip. I made it, let it cool, and gave him some by a syringe. Within a couple of hours he perked up, drank some water, started eating, and lived for another three years. (He then caught some sort of virus which was too much. His sisters passed a couple of years later – the tea also helped them shortly after it helped him.)
Just a tidbit in case the disease starts affecting them… the suggested way is putting it in their water so it’s diluted down a bit. I gave it straight because he had stopped drinking too.
It might or might not help, but the effect on my Houdini was striking!
Anyway, thanks for giving them a life. Special Needs kitties can create very special bonds with their people (we have four).
Baby blue eyes are the best! Thanks for taking these guys in and giving them a home. You will be rewarded with years of companionship. As the old saying goes: “Pets, the only love money can buy..” Happy New Year!!
Williamsweyr, well these were adopted. Love not bought by money, in many places humans also have to pay for medical care for their human children… My Livia, as beautiful as these two, was also a foundling.
I really hope these two Meezer brothers have long and happy lives!
