It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to today’s Star Kit, Simon. He is a 9 year old Snowshoe from Edinburg, Texas.
We adopted Simon last year on October. We celebrated his birthday on October 1st. If I recall correctly, his previous owner said he was 8 years old. She had him since he was a kitten, but due to her moving around a lot, Simon would get stressed to the point where he would lick his paws and bite himself etc so he had some wounds, so she decided it was time for him to find a permanent place to stay. She posted a link of his pictures on Craigslist and we arranged to meet. Simon is now in kitty retirement home, lounging daily on his favorite spot atop the couch with his blankets.
He is a good cat and behaves well, he is no longer stressed out and has ditched the habit of over licking his paws! My parents spoil him and my brother is with him 24/7. His favorite thing to do is sleep on his back (snoring loudly) and enjoys tummy rubs and sitting on people’s laps until the person’s legs have fallen asleep (9 pounds of kitty mass!). They got him a cupcake for his birthday! (only licked the frosting a few times, cupcake not amused!!)
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
pounce!
What a gorgeous guy! Thank you for giving him a stable home to spend the rest of his life in!
Aww! I love this boy! I’m glad that he’s happy.
I’m always so happy to see people adopting older cats. He’s a lovely guy, you are fantastic for giving him a good life, and I know you’ll have many years of happiness together. (From the mom of 16-year-old Meg)
He’s a handsome fellow and I’m so glad his peripatetic ways are over. 🙂
Don’t know what kind of cupcake, but feel I should mention chocolate is bad for both cats and dogs.
