I’d like you all to join me in wishing a huge welcome to today’s Star Kit, Mouse. He is about 10 months old and comes to us all the way from Perth, Western Australia.
I think Mouse is the brother of Pepi, shown here on 21/01/16. He has just been neutered, but it took at least 2 months to get him to this point. Mouse was a stray that would come in for food but was so scared. It took a while before either myself or my son could touch him. He had a very large wound on his face, so when we could we took him to the vet hoping to get everything done at the same time. The vet would only treat the wound and microchip him, and told us to come back. Mouse disappeared for two weeks and on Thursday of last week, he came in for some food. Saturday was “N” day. He has never used a litter box but took only 36 hours and me showing him how to dig in it. Now he uses it quite well. He won’t come out of the bedroom and is still quite scared, but with a lot of love and patience we will get there.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Pounce!
Hi to Mr. Mouse from the other side of the globe! As in Northern Hem. He’s a stunningly handsome kitty. I hope that with your love and some time he comes to love his furever home as much as you love him. His paw print bed is also awesome – or rather pawsome! 🙂
Mouse is awesome and beautiful. Bless u for taking him in and helping him. Once he gets the hang of the good life, he will never want to leave. I’ve had outdoor cats converted to indoor cats and it is not easy, but is worth it! Good luck to you all.
What a great rescue story.I’m so happy that has a forever home.Have a long and happy life together.
Mr. Mouse is a handsome grey kit! I bet he’s a big sweetie under that scowl. :- ) Thanks for giving him a chance in a furever home.
Woohoo for another Southern Hemisphere cat. Mouse has a good future ahead of him and I suspect he knows it seeing as he came back after the first vet visit saw his face wound treated. I am sure he will settle in soon.
Yay, a So Hem kitty! Mouse is so handsome! So glad you were able to bring him in.
What a lucky Mouse. I have one like that…he’s very loving to me, but a bit charry of
strangers and anything he might construe as threatening…even after several years. I don’t regret a minute of it. 🙂
Mouse is a handsome boycat, I’m sure that with love and patience he will come around.
Welcome to you and Mouse. At least his safe place is the bedroom. It’s a sad thing to have a cat not be in the bedroom with you. They belong there!
