I’d like you all to put your paws in the air and wave hello to today’s Star Kit, Angel. She is a 2 week old Tabby from Crestview, Florida.
I went into the vet’s office where my two 6 month old kittens had just been neutered. I was an hour early which is definitely not normal for me. I am usually late. After we checked in, a lady came in carrying a small rag with something inside. She approached the counter and was explaining to them that the animal had a broken leg. She was attempting to leave the animal with the vet because she had found it. The vet was going to have to call animal control. For some reason, I just couldn’t help but interfering. I went over and looked and saw a two week old kitten that was barely moving. Its inner eye lids were closing over it’s eyes. The kitten was dying. I asked the lady if I could take a look at it. There was nothing wrong with its leg, it probably hadn’t eaten in several days. I immediately bought a bottle and some KMR formula and went to work on her. The lady asked me to take her. I did.
She was now my responsibility and things were not looking good but I’ve been here before. I talked the vet into checking her for feline leukemia and she was negative so I began to feel a little better. After I picked up the boys, Grayby and Marble. I took the kitten home and warmed her up and forced her to drink. After a few days, she began to perk up and rapidly improved. She is about three months old now and is the most wonderful loving baby girl. Her name is Angel and for some reason, we also call her Fuzzle and Fuzzlet. I am so glad I intervened that day. She went from near death to a forever home with lots of friends.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Pounce!
I too am glad that fate put you in the path of a needy kitty who now looks like a filled out and healthy little fuzzball. Thank you for rescuing Miss Angel! 🙂
Oh my, Angel is certainly a wee beauty.
Thank whatever stars made you early that day to the vet and intervene. If you hadn’t who knows what fate may have awaited this gorgeous wee girl. I love the first pic, full round tummy and ‘milk drunk’ glazed look.
Angel Fuzzlet is very lucky you were there! She’s very sweet and pretty.
Wee Angel is so precious! Thank you giving her a furever home with loving purr parents and sibs. I suspect none of us call our “fuzzlets” by the name we’ve given them.
Now that’s a story to start the day with! Have a wonderful life with little Fuzzlet (love that name).
Thank you for taking in this beautiful girl! She’s in good hands now. 🙂
I love this baby. Bless you for saving her life. A friend found a tiny, almost frozen, black kitten in the snow her (almost as tiny) country house. Fortunately she was able to save the kitten, who is named Précieuse. Précieuse is fully grown a winter later, but has remained very small. Hope all your kittens get on well!
I am so glad she has a nice home! ?:3
How very wonderful! That sure made my day better. 🙂 (it needed it. 🙂
Angel is absolutely adorable! You both are lucky to have each other:-))
Angel/Fuzzle/Fuzzlet is adorable! Thank you for saving her life and giving her a home. Yep, there was a reason you were uncharacteristicly early that day. I love her classic tabby markings.
Wishing you many happy times together!
Yup, angels come in many guises -this one is purrfect example! Just luv happy endings to purry tales, thank you for saving we stripey kit!
You both scored! I’m so glad Angel is doing well. As for the extra names, we do it too. Our Rodger is also known as Fattipuss Maximus Rex the Black. Both names fit on his tag, plus his phone number! Enjoy your babies.
