Pura Vida
I would like you all to meet this Caturday’s Star Kit, Pura Vida. She is 3 years old from Iowa City.
This is my cat Pura Vida which means Pure Life in Spanish. We got her from a vet clinic in West Branch Iowa. She was in the vet’s clinic because her mom got run over and their litter was abandon by the side of the road. The other kittens in the litter looked like little tigers, but I knew Pura Vida was the one because when I reached into the cage to see the kittens she was the only one brave enough to lick my hand!

The power of love. Sometimes love is a language that breaks even the barrier of fear. I remember getting my Ca’mio who had been in three homes by the time I adopted her at barely 1 year of age. When I got her home she immediately ran under the bed which is understandable. Yet when I gently placed my hand out and talked to her in soft loving words she came out in order to be petted and talked to some more. She had been my little love bug ever since. Many happy loving years with Pura Vida:)

Miss Pura Vida’s name says it all – pure life in the form of a lovely kitty! Sorry for her losing her furry mama, but glad her hooman purrents stepped in to rescue her. Also hope that her tiger-esque litter mates found such good homes!
What an adorable face! Her ears are so big and beautiful that it looks like she could use them to fly around. Hope you have many happy years together.
Maybe those aren’t ears on Pura Vida’s head, maybe their actually “wings” in disguise. She looks like an angel to me!
