A big paws up to today’s Star Kit, Lucy. She is an 8 week old Silver Mackerel Tabby from Guelph, Ontario.
I got Lucy because she was the last female in the litter I was able to choose from. She was really skinny and very timid. She would flinch if anybody went to pet her and run away. I had my suspicions that she was abused before I had taken her. It took a little bit but she’s about 4 or 5 pounds now and healthier than ever. Lucy is the strangest cat I’ve ever had in the fact that she doesn’t do a lot of things that other cats do. She lays with her back legs like a frog and she loves tummy rubs.
She loves popcorn (whenever I have a bowl of it she sneaks up from behind all stealth-like and eats about half of it before I even notice!) She is constantly purring and smiling at you. She is one of the most loving, sweet, and smart kitties I have ever met! She’s already starting to learn tricks. I’ve taught her how to sit and she can almost walk in a circle on her hind legs. Whenever I leave she waits at the door or as soon as I walk in she will run downstai rs and demand cuddles. I love my little meowmin <3
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Aw Lucy you are the sun, moon and stars as Ont TDK Stark-kit!
Lucy looks like a very happy kitty!
I Love Lucy! She does seem be continually smiling. Love the pic of her in that very big celestial bed, purrfectly suits your little princess! My Dorry kit waves his paws up at a fellow Canadian kitty!
What a love bug! She’s so happy to be living with you! I hope you can treasure each other for many years to come.
Wee Lucy is adorable. You gotta a real cuddle bug. Miss Lucy waited for her meomy and now she has a furever loving home.
Lucy is a baby beauty! She has such a pretty smile and it is obvious she loves her home!
What an adorable kitty! Yes, cats can and do smile – even with the edges of their mouth (most of it is in the whiskers, face muscles, and positioning of the ears! She is one happy little lovebug from the pictures.
We’ve had a couple of kitties/kittens who flinched that way… but we also know they were never abused. I don’t know what causes that, but they do grow out of it pretty quickly – if treated with a little bit of love.
POUNCE!
Lucy has such a beautiful happy face, if you are able to teach her tricks then the two of you have a wonderful trusting relationship now.
Omygosh, I don’t know when I’ve seen a kitty look so contented. You must be doing it all right. You are both lucky!
I’ve never heard of a Silver Mackerel Tabby before, but she sure is gorgeous. It takes an incredible amount of trust for kitties to accept belly rubs. Lucy is obviously a very content kitten.
Lucy has a sweet smile! She’s adorable. 🙂
Aww sweet kitty! I wish I could get my Tigey to pose like that
Love the content look in the first picture! That shows how much she loves her new home.
Lucy is beautiful, and she looks so happy in that first pic. May you have many happy memories with your new fur baby. =^..^= ?
