Hi, I’m Felix. I’ve already crossed over the Rainbow Bridge but I still wanted to tell everyone about myself (through my mom of course). I was found at my mother’s work when she worked at a power plant. I was about 4 weeks old … and blind. I had gotten fly ash in my eyes and it caused them to ulcer over. She took me to the vet to be checked out and he said I was in great shape other than not being able to see. That was all she needed to hear and we went home. Mom says that I was the only cat she ever had that would come when called by their name. I loved to snuggle. I could find my way around the house just fine and I played just like every other kitty in the house. Oh … there was this one time. My mom had emptied the trash and put the can in a different place. I was on the bed and went to jump down. I jumped right into the trash can. I didn’t think it was too funny but the rest of the house laughed themselves to tears. Anyway … I just want everyone to know that just because kitties have challenges … they are still wonderful, loving, and very grateful cats. Just ask my mom … she will tell you.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Thanks for taking Felix in despite being blind and giving him a wonderful home all his life.
Pounce!
Pounce!
Aw, thanks for sharing your purry story from the Bridge Felix. Blowing heavenly smooches to you for you are our very special & handsome noir the heavenly Star-kit today at TDK!
Thank you for knowing that Mr. Felix is more than his blindness. He sounds like a sweet, loving boy. Mr. Felix is waiting for his forever family across the Rainbow Bridge.
I am so very sorry that you have left your purrson – and us. You are so very handsome, Felix, in your shiny black coat. I use the present tense because you are still very much present, playing in the Meadow, and in the hearts of those who love you. To Felix’s mom – you are wonderful and caring, I’m crying too much to write more, so, so sorry.
Jason, you beat me to the pounce, but Felix merits lots of pounces.
Hi Felix! I’m glad your mom posted your picture and told your story. It is a very handsome pic of you – you would be proud.
Note to Felix’s mom: I’m sorry Felix has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Forever in your heart though; I’m sure you’ve noticed the spot he’s burrowed into. Thank you for showing him off to the world!
awww, what a nice but sad story. Thanks for introducing us to Felix. At least memories are never lost.
What a handsome boy sweet Felix. Thank you for sharing your story from the bridge. You were very loved!
Thanks for the post! ALL kitties need love and return that love in so many ways.
Felix it sounds as if you were indeed a happy cat. I am glad you had a life of love & happiness.
Bless you for giving Felix the best life he could have, filled with love and snuggles. He was a very handsome boy with a great coat of healthy, shiny fur.
Hi Felix. Yes, just because there is a handicap doesn’t mean, an animal or person isn’t just as valuable as one who is not handicapped. Your mama is a special soul to have given you such a good life. And Felix, I wonder if you could find my kitty Triscuit and tell her how much I love her and miss her. Thanks.
I don’t comment every day, but I was moved to tears reading Felix’s story! Maybe it was the way he told it himself! Such a beautiful back shiny boy!! I bet your Mom really misses you Felix!
Oh dear, what a lovely black cat. So sorry to hear that he has died. I do hope he had a good run; he looks so very sweet. I’m sure your human dad Tom and your human grandma the power-plant worker must miss you terribly. I still miss the black cat I had when I was nine years old, and I’m much older than that now.
