Calliope
Please put your paws in the air to welcome today’s Star Kit, Calliope. She is 3 weeks old from San Jose, California.
I went to PetsMart to buy things for my dog and 2 boy cats. I heard the desperate cries of a small kitten while I shopped. I saw a young boy holding her next to the Banfield desk. Made sense. Later though, I saw his mother talking to one of the employees about what to do. She looked pretty overwhelmed. Her son had found the kitten and she didn’t want to take it to the shelter (heard they would euthanize her) and didn’t know what to do. I offered to take her. The relief in mom’s face was apparent. The family bought her formula and bottles for me.
So, for the last 5 days I have been her new mom. The husband decided to call her Calliope and told me we’re keeping her.

Hi! I agree with Katzenjammer; you surely were at the right place at the right time and your husband is a definite keeper. I hope you don’t mind me saying I believe that the Divine had a hand in this. Calliope has a name bigger than she is right now, though with you and your husband’s loving care she’ll grow up into a beautiful tortoiseshell/calico lady cat. Give her a soft nuzzle for me and please give us an update:)
