Please join me in tribute for today’s Star Kit, Peppy. He was 15 years old from Ojai, California.
Peppy and Fritz were littermates. Peppy went to the Cat Heaven 4 years ago when he was 15 years old. The picture is when he was about 7 years old. I still miss him a lot.
He weighed 17 pounds and he walked around like he owned the world. He loved people. When we have company, he greets everyone and let them pet him. He had personality that even non-cat lover would say, wait, that is a cat? He fetched, carry things in his mouth, loved to lay in bowls, any kind, and loved belly rubs. He had 40 little fuzzy balls that I throw for him and he meows while he had a ball in his mouth. That produced a funny meow.
And he was a sensitive soul. If you yell at him for anything, he talked back. He pouted. He would let me hold him and dance with him. We did the waltz together.
He would let me brush him on his head. Any other place, the paw came out to say, don’t. So I would brush his head, then his body, then quickly, his head….LOL! And if you offered him something that he didn’t like, the paw came out. The paw would go in the “hello kitty” poise as a warning and if you persist in offering that annoying thing, the paw would strike you, without claws though. He never clawed people. Things, well, we don’t talk about it got clawed!
He opens cabinets doors, doors between rooms, drawers, and he figured out he can open drawers to use as steps when he wants to get on counter as he got older and couldn’t jump. He was a very smart cat. His brother Fritz eggs him on opening things by sitting patiently and as soon as that door or whatever is opened, he is first one to get into it.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Pounce on handsome Peppy, now healthy and whole again in the Meadow, just in front of the Rainbow Bridge.
Sweet Peppy found the purrfect hoomin and lived the life of luxury with his bro Fritz.
What a pair! That tail is a killer 🙂 it looks like he’s signaling Fritz to say “Let’s get into something”!!!
What a wonderful boy! So handsome. He is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.
Hey, it’s Fritz’s brother Peppy, wow what a handsome boy!
Thank you for sharing his story.

I am so sorry for your loss of Peppy! He sounds like quite a character! I know how hard it is to lose a furbaby; especially one who was such a personality.
Enjoyed reading about a cat you clearly loved. I’m sorry for his passing but you had a lot of good years with him and that’s where your focus should be now. I could list all the cats I miss but . . . “heaven is where you meet all the cats you’ve ever loved.”
