Minerva

Please give a warm welcome to today’s Star Kit, Minerva. She is a 7 week old Dark Grey Tabby, from Pheonix, Arizona.

About 5 weeks ago and acquaintance asked me if I knew anyone that might want a kitten. A younger friend of his had brought a kitten home without asking. As soon as I saw the picture of the kitten I knew I had to save this baby. It was clearly only 2 or so weeks old. Far too young to be away from its Mama. When I went to pick the kitten up the teenage girl that had the poor little one handed me powdered formula (she was not sure if it was cat milk replacement). I had already stopped by a pet store and bought supplies so I was ready. The baby was half starved. I feed the baby every few hours and started looking for a temporary foster mom.

I had a 3 week trip that was less than a week away. Thankfully a good friend was willing and able to take on the feeding and cleaning duties of my sweet Sirius. I was getting daily updates on his progress. 2 weeks in we had to make a name change. Sirius was a girl. Her new name became Minerva. She was so dark initially that I thought she was a black cat. But she definitely is a tabby. I have 3 adult female cats. Nesbitt, Bellatrix and Zoija. They still have not warmed up to their new baby sister. All in good time.
