Please join me in giving a huge TDK Caturday welcome to our Star Kit for today, Joxer the Mighty. He is 6 years old from Holly Ridge, North Carolina.
My mother and I went to the humane society when I was 17 to get two kittens. I ended up walking into the cat house and sitting down, which is where this big guy walked over and claimed my lap. My mother said he looked crazy eyed, and thought his stubby tail was ugly, but I thought he was perfect! He has been my lap cat ever since, and made me the happiest person. When I turned 20, I moved away from home, Hawaii, to live in NC with my boyfriend. I couldn’t leave Joxer at home with my parents, so of course I decided to take him.
He was my carry on for 16 hours, 4 layovers. When we arrived in NC, he had never been exposed to other cats, so he hissed and growled, and still hisses and growls, but he’s just a grouch. He’s made a home here, has a little brother, a little sister, and absolutely LOVES my boyfriend (probably more than he loves me lol). He’s been a blessing.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Pounce – Sounds like you hit the Jackpot!
Wow – you did everything right, it would seem. It takes time to accept a new addition to the
household, and Joxer sounds up to it in the long run. And by far best he likes your significant
other, way best. All the best with your life and whatever else it brings.
He may have wild eyes and a stubby tail but he has love enough for you and that’s all that matters. What a loving and well travelled kit.
Joxer rocks 🙂
Joxer the Mighty is mighty awesome! Love his colouring what with what looks like he’s wearing a saddle, plus his creamy white belly! 🙂
Joxer is a handsome guy and quite the traveler. I’m glad he found his furever home with you.
I think Joxer is a handsome boy & you two are blessed to have each other! Loved your story!
