Starbuck
I’d like to introduce you to today’s Star Kit, Starbuck. She is 4 weeks old from Mooringsport, Louisiana,
Starbuck is named after a character in Battlestar Galactica. My sister found her on side of the road all alone. Her and her boyfriend looked for the mommy but couldn’t find her. I got starbuck a few days later. She is great, happy, friendly and playful, but she won’t poop which is how I found this site.

I can tell I would love your family. The kittens on this site are adorable, but reading about the caring and compassionate people gives me hope for the world. Starbuck exudes a spunky cattitude. Please have many years of fun with her.
I love all cats, but black ones most of all. She is a tiny, brave beauty. Hope you have found out how to help her make her tiny bowels move. By the way, if that is cow’s milk in her bowl, it isn’t necessarily good for her. There is formula available at pet shops or at the vet’s that is much more similar to a mama cat’s milk. If she doesn’t “go”. please take her to the vet’s immediately. An intestinal blockage can kill her. The little black cat I found (or who found me) had one, and I can assure you that the money I spent having that cleared up (and I was only working part-time then) was the best I ever spent. I still have Renzo 19 years later.
She looks like a real sport! I second the to-the-vet now, and also reading up on kitten health for further reference. and black cats. and bottle babies. 🙂

She is so adorable. Thought that she might be named for the coffee resto chain, and could not quite think why. LOL

goat’s milk is very good for kittens and is much cheaper than the KMR at the pet store. it can be found at any grocery store with the milk or in the baking aisle. the stuff in the baking aisle needs to be diluted 1:1. good luck on your lifelong relationship with Starbuck.
Such a wee little doll baby! Using a warm wet wash cloth, make strokes on her anal area. This will simulate what her mama kitty would do to assist her in going pooh. This is just general advice. Taking her to the vet would be the best idea depending on how long it has been since she used her litter box. Give Starbuck a snuggle for me:)

I second getting her to a vet for a check up. There are many good suggestions in above posts.
A warm damp cloth (similar to mama cat’s rough tongue) is good for kittens in many ways. Of course she should be kept warm, but that shouldn’t pose much of a problem in a Louisiana summer.
katzenjammer, she could still fit into a cup. (I live in MontrĂ©al’s Little Italy, where there are much nicer – and cheaper – small cafĂ©s than those chains).
