Please join me in giving a huge paws up to our Star Kit of the day, Terra. She is a Calico who is an estimated 4 days old from Houston, Texas.
Terras story started out with her and her two other siblings being taken from where there mother probably left them to keep them safe but sadly, uneducated people see kittens and quickly decide they need to take them. Instead of taking them to a vet this person stuck them all in a soil and wood chip filled flower pot and posted the picture on facebook saying, “someone come get them or we are leaving them here.” That didn’t sit right with me so I went to do what I could, but by the time I got there one kitten was taken by someone and the other two were not in good shape. I went straight to the vets and Terras brother was in worse condition than I expected. They were kept overnight for observation and Terras brother passed a few hours before I went to pick them up. Even after his passing Terra tried to cuddle with him.
Terra is struggling a little without her two siblings, constantly searching and mewing for them but she’s gradually doing better each time I interact with her. As fiesty as she is, you would have never guessed I found the poor baby with her mouth and nose full of soil. She’s loud and proud and hopefully her personality helps her reach a full recovery.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
POUNCE!
Terra is such a sweet baby boo. My heart is breaking after reading your story. Please give that wee girl some snuggles for me. Bless you, bless you, bless you for your valiant efforts on behalf of the kittens.
Ooh, if only I could snuggle with wee Terra. She’s so tiny and precious-thanks you for being her guardian angel. You have a purrfect purr parent so keep fighting wee Terra. I can’t fathom some peoples’ action.
Make her comfy bed with a soft blankie and one of your shirts. Put a soft, squishy stuffed toy so she snuggle. I’ve heard if you put a wind up clock covered in the blankie, it mimics her moms’ heartbeat. Make sure the alarm is OFF.
Terra is a tiny beauty! Thank you so much for saving her. Sending her warm thought to grow big and strong.
Yay for li’l survivor Terra with COA Alert as Star-kit on a Tuesday!
So glad that Miss Terra has landed on terra-firma with such a caring, loving purrson as yourself. Sad that she lost her kitty family, but now she has you. As for the peeps who dumped the kitties, well my opinion would require a “Parental Advisory” so I’ll leave it there.
Blessings on you for your efforts; the world certainly has a surfeit of jerks. I hope mama cat
finds her brass ring sometime soon; she’s been through too much herself now also. Many happy years to you and The Fighting Terra. 🙂

I hope charges are brought against the cruel person who “potted” those babies. Big paws up to Terra and her tenacity!

FUZZ misses her brother… 🙁
Terra has such lovely markings! Poor baby. I hope she keeps fighting and becomes the beautiful cat she should be and do her siblings at the Meadow proud.
Oh how kind and thoughtful you are. Creative name!
