I’d like you all to give a huge paws up and welcome today’s Star Kit, Jonah. She is around 2 weeks old from Lawrence, Kansas.

On 4/23, Jonah was rescued from the mouth of my boyfriend’s parent’s dog. We have no idea where she came from, as the dog was running around in a field. By some miracle, the vet said that she was completely uninjured, but because she was so tiny, she had only a 50/50 shot of surviving.

We immediately decided to take her in, and do everything in our power to help her survive, or at least make her final days comfortable. She initially wouldn’t take the bottle, but finally started taking it after a day and a half of no food. Five days later, her eyes have opened (in the last pic they had just begun).

She’s very sassy and lively already! Her favorite thing in the world is belly rubs – she even purrs when you rub her tummy. 🙂
