Lucy
I would like you all to meet today’s Star Kit, Lucy. She is 5 weeks old from Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Lucy belonged to our neighbor’s litter of 4. The mother cat rejected Lucy at 2 weeks of age for reasons unknown to us. She did have a scar on her neck that the neighbor said was there since birth. We decided to take her in and bottle feed her rather than let her die. She is coming up on 6 weeks old now and we love her very much.

Glad you were able to intervene. Sounds like mom saw the injury as life threatening so she turned her attention to her other babies.
