Fuego and Smokey
Hey everyone, I’d like you all to meet Fuego and Smokey. This pair are from Texas.
We saved 2 week old kittens from a burn pile. (No. It wasn’t known they were in there before lit. My bf got burned saving them. Fuego (orange & white male) lost 3 toenails on his left front foot. Otherwise the burns were minor. Smokey (calico female) seems to only have minor burns. Probably because she’s smaller & weaker she didn’t crawl into fire itself.
I’m really a dog person but I’ve been feeding them by syringe for the last week & I’m quite attached now. They flat refuse a bottle unfortunately. Luckily, my border collie Lacy takes care of the nasty business for now. Lol

Sweet little rescues!!! And so fab of you to rescue them. Your BF is my new hero, hope he wasn’t injured badly. Love that doggy Lacy is helping out in their care, she is so big compared to the baby kits! Love their names, soon they’ll be full of fiery kitty energy! You rock!

Bless you and your bf for saving them…they will continue to grow on you. I started my
one-year old on a dropper when it was all I had in the house and never could get him to
go with an actual, store-boughten kitten bottle. Where there’s a will there’s a way.
You, your bf and Lacy are the best guardian angels…EVER! Wee Mr. Fuego and Miss Smokey wouldn’t have had chance without your efforts. And yes, this pair has you in their wee paws! Thanks so much
