KM’s Kits

A bit of a special one today. I would like to introduce you to Moog, Leo, Freddie and Smokey. These kits are between 9 months and 4 years and live with me and Mrs KM in TDK towers.

Moog

First we have Moog (pictured above). He is 4 years old and is one of my wife’s 2 cats (the other being Leo). He is very laid back and loves nothing more than finding a window facing the sun and stretching out on the window sill lazing in the sunbeams. He is very docile and while he does enjoy to play, he would much rather curl up on your lap.

Leo

Next we have Leo (apologies on the picture, he was out playing when I was taking their new head shots). He is Moog’s biological brother. My wife got them as a pair when they were only 2 months old as she didn’t want to separate them. They are the best of friends. Where Moog is laid back, Leo is outgoing and is always trying to get in places where he shouldn’t. Leo is very adventurous and once went missing for 4 months.

Freddie

This ginger beauty is Freddie and he is just over a year old. Many of the TDK regulars will have met him before as he helps me combat the forum spammers. Freddie was a rescue and came to live with us when Leo went on his 4 month “holiday”. After the first month of Leo going missing we presumed the worst, so decided that it would be good for Moog, who had always had a play mate, to get another cat. I don’t know how old Freddie was when he came to us exactly, (I’d estimate between 3 to 5 months) as he was a rescue found abandoned in a basement. After a shakey start of him not being used to people and another cat, he has flowered into a loveable rascal. He definitely has a special place in my heart.

Now, I’m sure some of you will think, “KM only has 3 cats, that’s what it says in his bio”. Well I would like to introduce you to the stray who came to dinner…

Smokey

This is Smokey. Going from his size (he is smaller than Freddie) I would estimate his age at about 7-9 months. About 2 weeks ago I had just been down to the shops and as I was walking up the drive, this little bundle of fun cam bounding out from underneath my car and started purring and rubbing up and down my legs. I gave him a stroke and he purred and then I took the shopping in, thinking that he belongs to someone and he is just a cat having a wander. Anyway, 2 hours later when I went back outside to put the bins out, this little cat was still sat on the drive and when he saw me, he came bounding over for another stroke. He was very friendly and persistent in wanting to be picked up. It was only when I picked him up that I could feel how dirty his fur was and how thin he was, so I bought him inside to get him some food. That night he had a good meal and I helped give him a clean. The following morning I made up some posters and went knocking around door to door in the neighbourhood to see if anyone had lost him. I’ve placed posters around and reported him found to all of the local shelters and vets, but still he remains unclaimed and continues to call TDK towers his home. He is already best buds and play mates with Freddie and I know we would all be sad if he was to go.
