The orange tabby is Flea. She was featured as the Daily Kitten for 24 March, 2012. The Blue Russian is Alley Cat. As mentioned in Flea’s bio, she was a very sick kitten and was not expected to survive. Alley was a year old when we brought Flea home and at first didn’t like pay much attention to her. But, then she got sick and Alley immediately started to care for and protect her. I think that Alley was the deciding factor in her miraculous recovery. Now, over 2 years later she remains Flea’s guardian

How wonderful to have such a loving and beautiful guardian! I am so happy that Flea thrived and is in such a caring home.
My Bobo was also a Russian Blue and very gentle with new kittens (how I miss him). Maybe the Blues are nurturing by nature.
(sigh)…I love stories like this with wonderful endings. Flea is so lucky to have a protector and nurturer like Alley Cat!
