This is Sunday; the latest addition to our ever growing fur-ball family. My 1st 2 rescue cases Charger & MeToo were also featured as kitten of the day http://www.dailykitten.com/2012/11/03/ & http://www.dailykitten.com/2012/11/14/.
My little niece brought her home the 1st Sunday of this year (hence the name). Apparently on her way back from Sunday School, she saw a group of boys tossing a kitten around like a ball and one of them tossed it up on a roof. According to her, 9 Eagles were circling the kitten ready to swoop so Little Miss climbed the roof in her Sunday best and brought her home. (Ps. I have been in my home town for over 2 years now and I have never spotted even 1 single Eagle :-D)
Sunday bonded immediately with Charger and is glued to him as much as possible while he patiently tolerates her playful ways (ref to the photo). If she wakes up from her nap and Charger is not around then she cries n cries until she locates him and then the lick fest starts!
Also, she has opened a whole new world for Charger & MeToo. My original duo have suddenly realized that the curtains can be climbed, all the books on the shelves can be knocked down one by one, the top of the fridge and dressing table are cool places to climb and lounge on, playing with litter can be fun etc…all thanks to Sunday.
On the downside, she’s a little Houdini so she manages to escape from the house often. She fell off my balcony once and I rushed her for an X-Ray as she was limping. Thankfully she did not suffer any broken bones.
Finally, I’m happy to report that MeToo had been successfully domesticated since December 2012 and he’s not so “Scrawny” anymore! Charger my little trooper also battled through what I suspect was Lily poisoning in March this year. Thanks to the competent professors/vets @ the veterinary college outside the city, he’s back to his ‘Charging’ self.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.

Kids can be so cruel, poor little kitten, kudos to your niece for stepping up and doing the right thing. Now you have an even more fun-filled household, love how these rescue stories work out. Please give cuddles and treats to Sunday and her new sibs from me 🙂
Thanks for saving all three of the kitties and giving them a good home. Sunday sounds like a real hand full being a “bad influence” on the others and escaping. I’m glad MeToo became an indoor cat. Once he got inside and realized that it was warm and there was plenty of food available, he didn’t want to leave.
Great story!! You’re a great person!!
Have any of your cats walked on your computer keyboard yet? That’s a mess that’s hard for me to fix.
What an entertaining account of these lovely kittens! Nine eagles all in one place, huh? Hmmm … Well, anything to give a lovable kitten a home. The others have probably been watching her antics and thinking, “This is fun! Why didn’t I think of that earlier?”
Makeout! Makeout! Very sweet picture.
POUNCE!
What an adorable picture. Charger doesn’t look like he minds too much that Sunday is glued to him, just look at the smile on his face. ^ ^
Sorry Jean, I totally missed the pounce on your comment until now.
How cute! Sunday is absolutely adorable, thank you to niece who rescued her. Thank you for the update on Charger (good to see him again) and MeToo too!
You must have a non-stop fun household!
Awww what a sweet face. Love the smile. Sunday is absolutely beautiful! Many happy years with her and your furball family!
Lovely picture! You are a terrific person and I enjoyed reading about your rescues and your furry little ones! Brave little niece, too!
OOhhhh Lucky lucky you and lucky Sunday, what an adorable picture of them two. Soooo sweet.
Congrats on your new kitten! Sunday is a charmer for sure. Love her dark stripes on her light colored legs. The kittys looks so happy here. Many happy years with all your fur kids!
Very sweet pic & description of Sunday. She’s a mischievous girl, but looks good hearted. Much happiness to all.
These kittens are lovely! 🙂
That picture needs to be on a Hallmark Valentine’s Day card!
Oh this looks like pure kitty love.
