This is a picture of Annie Vern the day she was found and adopted by me!
Found on the grounds of the resort where I worked at the time, crying and alone. We think the mother may have been moving the litter, she was either first or last.
An Email I received that day said ‘kitten found, needs home come to security office if you want’. Although I had one cat at home my other had just passed away so was persuadable.
Did not expect the infant that I saw, 3 weeks old, fit in the palm of your hand. Hungry, crying. . Security guy said one of the admins was going to take her ‘ for her kids to play with’. I would have none of that and took her. I knew she needed special care and would still need to be bottle fed.
It was another three weeks before we could confirm that she was a she…
Well Annie Vern became the Love of my Life. And she has grown up into a beauty.
She is now 4 and a true treasure!
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
POUNCE!
Great name, great photo, touching story! I can tell how much you love her!
She was just achingly sweet; you are a very kind and caring person to take her in and care for such a tiny kitten. Please give her many cuddles from me 🙂
Oh, oh, oh…Thud! Miss Annie Vern was so lucky you didn’t let her be a child’s “toy.” As a wee kit and a grown girl, she is precious and I see how she’s the warm fuzzy in your life. Many more happy times to you and Miss Annie Vern!
Thanks goodness you kept her away from that stupid woman who thought she was a toy! Admin, eh?
Thank you so much for rescuing Annie Vern & for giving her a safe & loving home. Bless you for stepping in to prevent her from becoming a “kids toy.” Personally, I have no use for people that consider God’s creatures to be “toys.”
My furkids & I wish you AV many happy, healthy years! =^..^=
…for her kids to play with (???)
So glad you rescued pretty Annie Vern; her markings are beautiful!
FUZZ resort
This FUZZ is not for the kiddies!
So glad you were able to take her to give her a loving home. We would love to see her all grown up. She has beautiful markings. Bless you and give her a big cat hug for me.
Annie Vern is a true cutie. Thank you for the rescue. ^ ^
Yaaa for Annie Vern, bless you for rescuing her, would luv to see her grown up pic, with that cute lil smudgie on her nosey.
Awww beautiful. Would love to see her now!
What a wonderful thing you did for her and she will love you for it…always!!!
Somethings are serendipitous, like you working at the very resort where Annie Vern was found. Bless you for finding a place in your heart and home for the wee, fur-baby.
Don’t you just luv happy endings to furry purry stories! Concats Annie Vern you are our cutie-patootie & Star-kit today at TDK!
That is one of the sweetest lil kitty faces I’ve ever seen. I’m glad she is in a home that respects felines instead of turning the lil humans loose on them! I’m sure she is a blessing.
Annie Vern was a beautiful baby and looks to be part Siamese. I can only imagine how gorgeous she is now – both inside and out. Bless you for being her most needed human mama. I’d love an update photo of Annie as a four year. Give her a big hug for me:)
Good for you! You made a wise move and have been rewarded many times over. Beautiful little creature – I too would love to see what she looks like now.
I’m so glad your got this little treasure for yourself! And for her! Most excellent!
Bless you! She is adorable! 🙂
Annie is too precious & I’m so glad you have each other & that she’s doing great.
I’m glad you rescued this little beauty! 🙂
Thank God you took Annie Vern. I am sure you are both being rewarded. Animals are not toys! I hate to think of what would have happened to her if you had not stepped in. They probably would not have known how to feed her and if she did survive they might have just “gotten tired of her.” God bless you.
