Bindi Claire

One Tuesday I spent three hours visiting 159 cats and kittens at the shelter. I narrowed my selections down and went back on Thursday, yet revisited all 159 cats and kittens again. None of them felt 100% right. I had not held Bindi because I thought she was spoken for. When I was getting ready to settle for another kitten (who wasn’t paying much attention to me) I was watching two month old Bindi in a cage with her two male littermates. They were “punching” her and shoving off the shelf into the litterbox. She would stand up, clean herself off and go back to take them on again. I wanted to re-confirm she had been adopted so I asked and the employee told me the two males were adopted but not the black and white. I immediately said “May I hold her?” I put Bindi on her back lengthwise on my arm and she fell asleep with her arms and legs dangling. She woke, climbed on my shoulder, licked my ear, then curled up and fell asleep again. I looked at the other kitten and said, “Sorry Charlie!” I was in love and she has been my “Bindi of Joy” ever since.
