I had moved to my new location here in Michigan last October, and in moving, I had to find a good home for my cat, Muffiin. (She is very healthy and very happy in her new home). But as the months passed I found myself getting more and more depressed and lonely. So, today I am the proud mommy of Shadow, my new little 8 week old kitten given to me by a generous donor looking for a new home for her. The first thing she did was use the litter box. Lil’ Shadow is ready to pounce on her own! I’m glad Muffin found a good home and I’m happy Shadow has a loving home, too. Many happy, warm fluffy years together.
Another lovely story about Kitten Meets Owner. (Or should I say, Kitten Lover Meets Owner?) Shadow is so cute; I like the way her eyes match the furniture and am glad she has a loving home and that you have this nice friend.
How sad you had to give up Muffin, but how wonderful it is you and Shadow have found each other! Sweet little thing she is, I wish you both many happy and healthy years together 🙂

Gotta love these all-black kitties, very rare to not have any white. He looks like a mini-panther, ready to pounce on his prey. Thank you for being a responsible pet parent by seeing that your Muffin has a good home, instead of dumping her at a shelter.
I sure hope you don’t have to move again. It would really be sad if you had to give up another cat.

Awwww what a sweety Shadow is, she looks a little nervous in her new surroundings but I’m sure she will be just fine.
why did u give up your cat if you could have one where u moved to?
I wondered if that question would be asked. Because she was an older cat and the move was too great a distance and I thought it would be too traumatic for her. And the woman who took her had lost one of her cats to cancer and her other kitty was terribly lonely, so I thought Muffin would make a good companion for her cat.
Shadow is just a little treasure! Those kitties sure do leave big holes in our hearts when they leave our homes. May you have many happy years with precious Shadow.

good answer. as long as the cat is happy, that’s what matters most. the kitten is precious. i finally got a kitten last year. i usually adopt older cats. it was a pleasure. i still call him a kitten even tho he is very big! he is the sweetest cat ever.
