POUNCE!
OMG, how beautiful!!!
Hawk is a very striking boy.
what a beautiful, beautiful boy he is! I hope Hawk and his family have a heated barn to sleep in, at least, if they aren’t housecats. Please cuddle him from me π
Hawk is the most beautiful mouser!
Sorry Hawk, it looks like you’re going to have to rely on a little more than your good looks in life.
What a handsome boy! I love his smudgy nose.
Hi Hawk you are sooo handsome with your facial markings as with black beepable nose and mouth accent! Just want to give you a smooch as a talented mouser & our strinking Starkit of the day today on TDK!

Minnesnowta FUZZ
Wow, Hawk is a stunning guy! Thanks for sending his pic to The Daily Kitten to share!
Welcome back Arcalian FUZZ
I love Hawk’s long whiskers and fluffy coat and adorable markings. OK, I love every bit of Hawk. He looks like a great mouser. I hope he and his family are neutered/spayed. Thank you for taking care of this sweet family of barn cats.
Kisses to Hawk!!!
Love his black nose and chin! Hope he and the others stay nice and warm in those Minnesota winters. Bless you for taking care of them.
He is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I love the markings on his nose and chin. You should bring this one inside and give him all the lovins and cuddles he deserves. π
I LOVE tuxedo kitties…
Such pretty markings, Hawk! I love that nose and the little chin. Kisses!
Hawk looks like a tough guy with the smudge of black on his nose. I do love his markings, he’s a very good looking cat. Many happy years of mousing. ^ ^
OMG!! This beautiful photo brought me to instant (happy) tears!! Hawk looks exactly like a kitten I had that passed away. Seeing your beautiful brings fond memories! π Thanks for sharing!
Hugs to Hawk!
What a handsome kitten! Love the arrowhead marking on the nose. Sounds like he has a nice home (and job) for the rest of his life, too.
what a beauty.
Awww, Hawk is so beautiful. Love his black and white contrast and the markings on his eyes, nose and mouth. Also love the white fur coming from his black ears. Really wish you could keep him indoors. So many bad things happen to outdoor cats. He could make sure you never get a mouse in your house and live an warm safe life with you π
WOW he is gorgeous!
Sounds like Hawk and his siblings have the best of both worlds. Other than sleeping in a warm place, there is nothing a cat loves more than hunting… and when they’re tired of that, there’s a loving human family around. Good for you, beautiful Hawk!
What a handsome fella.I’ll bet he gets into all sorts of stuff!Good boy Hawk!
Handsome Guy that Hawk! He looks like he can “swoop” in on his prey! π
Oh Tuxies rule my heart along with Calicos. Hawk you are beautiful.
Handsome kitty- Hawk! π
Minnesnowta!! I was born there and was happy to leave at 6 months. Love the comment fuzz tho as always!!!! π
Yes I left “Minnesnowta” too twenty years ago. As farmers my grandmother and farmer had heaters in their barns for their animals and the cats came indoors at night. Hope that all your mousing cats have a very nice warm place to go to at night as well.
Such a handsome boy you are Hawk and a working kitty to boot! I can totally understand outdoor kitties on a farm. I grew up in Iowa and would visit my grandparents farm. They had to have cats that lived outdoors to keep the rodent population in check. I am sad to say that the kitties on my grandparents farm did not receive good vet care and were pretty feral so not too many nose bumps and chin scratches for them. Seems like Hawk and his family are far more tame and are sure to have an easier life…but very productive too!
Hawk is such a gorgeous furry guy. Such dramatic coloring! And he certainly looks healthy, shiny coat & eyes. On our family’s farm in NE Illinois we had lots of barn kitties, all serious hunters. In winter we fed them dry cat food & dry milk reconstituted w/warm water. We put the food in metal trays out of an old refrigerator. One black cat always stood in the milk dish while drinking! The others poked their heads around him to get the milk. They slept in the hayloft, well insulated by bales of hay & straw. We’d take them to the vet when they were sick. Not all barn cats are so lucky, but handsome Hawk & his siblings are clearly loved and well cared-for. Thank you for sharing him with TDK.
What a handsome guy! Although a working cat, Hawk is lucky to have hoomans who obviously care about him…they have given a great name and sent in his picture for us to share!
Valeriej; thank you for your “barn cat story” I found it very interesting. ^ ^
@loislaine: You’re welcome, I’m glad you enjoyed that fond memory. It’s one of many stories from my childhood farm & the many barnkitty friends I was fortunate to know.
Hawk thanks you all for the wonderful comments! He IS a very happy farm cat. He and the others get fresh food and water twice a day, which is more than the inside kitty gets!
