Well, we had two kittens before her: Teddy and Licorice. They were the best of friends. Then one day Teddy, a cat I have been having for seven years now, just disappeared. I miss him terribly everyday and Licorice started to get depressed as I was. Then one day my mom said that we should get another kitten so Mama cat(Licorice) wouldn’t be so depressed. We got Mariella, and her and Licorice weren’t to fond of each other at first, and now a year later, they hunt birds together. No cat will ever replace Teddy. I miss him so much sometimes it hurts, but then I think, he’s in the arms of the angels now.

I almost missed seeing this beautiful tortie baby, Mariella. (She was posted late to the site.) Believe me, my heart shares your hurt for the loss of your beloved Teddy boy. You honor his memory by giving a loving home to this gorgeous girl. Please look after Licorice and Mariella well, and enjoy both of them for many happy years.
Kitty Pie!! She is gorgeous!!! I love Torties. When I was little I had one named Gypsy. Teddy might be with a sweet family that thought he was a stray. 🙂
I agree with victoriasamantha about keeping the cats indoors. They’re much safer that way, and after all, the birds also have a right to live! 🙂 Thank you for sharing Mariella’s picture; she’s so pretty.

I’ve returned here because I’m just so concerned for your kitties, but don’t know quite what to say. Please watch over these babies very carefully when they’re outside. I truly don’t want you or them to suffer another heartbreak.
I had a cat that disappeared. That was years ago and you know, I still look for her when I see black and whites on the street. I know your new kitty will bring loads of love but there’s no getting over the lost ones too.
