Tiger
Location: Victoria, Australia
Tiger is a two month old red tabby who was rescued off a rural property with his four other siblings. His mom was a farmcat who got frisky with the neighbourhood tom – this was her third litter and the owner promptly got her desexed. Tiger is the most delightful little cat, he stalks imaginary dust balls and enjoys pulling the dog’s tail. He comes when called and is quick to endear himself to visitors by purring and head-butting them, or rolling around on the floor and showing them his stripey tummy. Yeah, he is a show off. Unfortunately, my partner has allergies so Tiger is going to a wonderful new home after his second set of vaccinations and desexing. I am happy that I got the chance to spend some time with this beautiful cat and helped to find him a loving family.

Tiger seems like a wonderful and fun can to have around. So sorry to hear about the allergy problem but glad to hear that Tiger has a home waiting for him!
I am so sorry to hear Tiger couldn’t stay. having horrible allergies myself, I feel your sadness at having to say goodbye to this sweet little orange guy (I love his stripey pj’s!)

I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen a cat wearing a bib! And such a flat tummy! What a cutie!
I hope Tiger does well in his new home. He sounds like a happy kitty. If he gets lots of love, I’m sure he will adapt eventually. I hope you get to visit him occasionally.
What an adorable boy! The photo is great – you can see the “lover boy” so common in the orange guys coming right at you! Sorry you couldn’t keep him, but so glad you gave him his great start in life!

I love his little outstretched paw, like he’s pleading for love. What a dolly. Head bonkers are such endearing kitties (Bobo almost buckles my knees he’s so ardent). I’m happy you found Tiger a wonderful home.

My orange boy Julius sleeps next to me every night, and loves to snorgle my beard right after I take a shower. Such a sweet guy he is.

Please try an allergy wipe such as Allerpet-C before you give your kitty away. If you cannot find Allerpet-C, your local pet supply store has a similar product. You can find it on the web. Just Google it. My son was was terribly allergic and one rub down with Allerpet-C solved the problem. You have to wipe the kitty down once a week with a sponge dampened with it and it is completely safe. This is the website:

Wow, thank you so much for the suggestion. I have 2 kitties I am allergic to but I have learned to live with it – I love my babies too much!! I am so excited to buy & try this product. I see it gets rave reviews on amazon.com. Here’s hoping it works for me too!
I’m going to try these also. I’m allergic to cats and I have 3 of them. I’ve also learned to live with it.
Oh one thing, when you wipe the kitty down, just try to be really nonchalant about it. I found that if I wet the sponge,not dripping, and just put my hand in front of my kitties at chest level to keep them from walking off, it was a pretty relaxed affair. If they start walking just rub it while they are in motion. Even with the leg area you should be able to do almost all of the cat without really making them feel like they are being hogtied. After I would rub them a little with a dry towel and smooth their fur with my hand or brush if you like. If they wash afterward it doesn’t seem to affect the product

Awww. He’s like a miniature version of my purrbot Boris (except for the blue eyes, that is). So sorry you can’t keep him, I know you and your partner will miss him terribly.

Most people who are “allergic to cats” benefit from a wipe-down like the aforementioned allergy wipes, bathing the cat regularly or simply by keeping the cat out of their face. There are also allergy shots which are very readily available. Plus most people aren’t allergic to every single cat. Some cat dander is worse than others. I agree I would keep Tiger and the partner would have to get acclimated or go. 🙂
I once had a BF who was only allergic to white cats–since I didn’t have any white ones then there wasn’t a problem.
Tiger is a little doll-you can see the love in his eyes. You did the responsible thing by finding him a good home—with visitation rights I hope!
