Okay, any more marmalade ones and I think I am going to have to get one…
I have a marmalade kitty who’s all grown up now. He’s crazy and cuddly.
I can’t speak for all of them, but my orange boy purred like thunder — never heard anything like it in my lifetime of kitties. He shook the blankets off the bed when he fired up that motor.:D
My son’s orange cat purrs so loud you can hear him through closed doors. And he loves to play with small stuffed toys; if you throw them, he goes and fetches them back to you.
My Tiger purrs like crazy and all the time. I get unnerved when he’s not purring. It’s the cutest thing. He drools too.
Love little Jack! What a playful cutie.
That is why mine is called Knucklehead… he sounds like an old Harley.
I had an orange point that purred like that named Rusty. My husband said he had a fat cam in his motor.
When Rusty wanted to go out in the middle of the night he would sneek up to George’s ear and start purring. The first couple of times George jumped out of bed like someone set the sheets aflame!
After helping send the Ohio Republican to prison for testking 642-611 corruption, Heaton pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy. He admitted accepting a testking HP0-J14 golf trip to Scotland, expensive meals, and tickets to sporting events between 2002 testking 1z0-007 and 2004 as payoffs for helping clients of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
Oh those ginger kitties. They’re so sweet and have such loud motors.
walking tall
What is it about the marmalade/ginger kitties? Mine is as goofy as a peach orchard boar…….. Of course, the household is a bit odd as well….
Jack is a little doll…….
How sweet…just like marmalade!! Just tried catching two little strays this weekend at a campground, one marmalade and one grey, tiny little fuzzes, no luck but left plenty of food b4 I left. Breaks my heart….
Take care of your fuzzers, they’re angels with fur!
Where is the campground? We own one in Montezuma, NY and am feeding 2 strays from this summer. Have to take them for shots soon, but they will stay outside as I have 3 indoor ones now.
I have yet to have a ginger kitty. Jack, may you have all the love and kisses you can handle.
Hey Tiger, You don’t know what you are missing. They really are different in a wonderful way. My one year old Alfie is a little love bug. I look at him and he purrs. He follows me everywhere. He fetches. He holds on to my arm and his head is on my pillow at night. I had some bad news yesterday. Alfie seemed to sense it. He was even more loving than usual. This morning he woke me by sitting on my chest. That pushed the duvet up, covering my face. He pulled it down and started stroking my hair! Of course, purring like crazy the whole time. I didn’t wait to see what else he would do! At that point I grabbed and snorgled him with kisses.
Jack is yet another example of special orangies 🙂
Dont know what the news was, but I am sending you positive thoughts. My Hubby is in Montreal (Laval really) this week on business and enjoying the area. Hopefully enjoying the Carrefour Centre.
Big snorgles and kisses for your Alfie, maybe an extra cat treat or two as well for taking such good care of his Mama.
While we are at it extra treats for Jack just cause he is so cute!
Thanks ppearson, how sweet of you. The bad news was a little doggie that was a part of my life for 2 years died suddenly. I really loved Boo. He was 12 years old but his forever mom a dear lady I took care of died a year ago and I think Boo finally died of a broken heart……I am trying to picture them together in heaven but it is hard.
I hope your hubby brings you presents! That’s a great shopping center.
Of course Boo is in heaven with its owner. The bible talks of animals, the lion will be so tame that a child willb e able to lasy down beside it.Because if there is no animals in heaven.I dont want to go.I am petless now, because I moved into a place that doesnt allow animals.Had to part with my three cats, that was over a yr ago and I still cry for them.We are looking for another place, everyone say prayers that we find one and theat they allow pets.Your cat is very adorable.
God Bless and Merry Christmas to all.
What a lovely marmie. 🙂 Guys, I have a little off-topic question: is photo quality a consideration in what photos get picked? I submitted a picture of my kitty Pepper a while ago, but it wasn’t the greatest picture, so I thought that maybe that’s why it hasn’t shown up yet. I’m being patient, I promise!
Jump over the candlestick FUZZ!
Oh, I lost my orange boy last Monday to renal failure, so seeing this kitten sweetie really means alot to me today! That face is precious — danger, danger, danger! (Steve Irwin voice)
I’m so sorry you lost your kitty.
I too am sorry for your loss. I always thought of my kitties as the babies that never grow up. It’s always hard to let go of your baby. I’ll keep you in my thoughts.
I’m so sorry you lost your marmie too. …
Thank you, kind catlovers — it’s been a hard week, but I’m so grateful to have found this site where I can get a kitty fix daily, and share with other catlovers, until I can find new fuzzies to love! Seeing orange babies like Jack really helps, it reminds me of the gift I had, and will always have in my heart.
Sorry to hear about your loss, Lisa. There are more fuzzies waiting for you to love, them…
Hi Lisa, So sorry for your loss. Right now you need time to grieve but remember there are many adorable orangies out there who need love. Hope there will be new little orange fuzzbutt in your life soon 🙂
Marmies, Torties, Meezers, Tuxeudos, Tabbies. Lots of great fuzzies are out there literally waiting. When you are ready, head to the nearest shelter and give your heart away again and maybe again. Adopt one or two in honor of your lost little love. Lisa, our hearts are with you.
Hi Jack, let’s play. You are an awesome looking kitten.
Teresa from CA, your suggestion about the carriers in the living room was great. It has been only a day and the kittens (2 – 15 weeks old) are sleeping in them. I had to buy 3 more and as I was putting them together my 16 month old ginger kitty, Gir, had to go from carrier to carrier as they were built and lay in them.
Great news. I hope your move is a smooth one. Keep us all posted along the way. I hope all the stories you have to tell are amusing ones with happy endings!
That’s great! You’re going to be driving them, did I understand correctly?
I’ve moved a few times with animals. Had no problems at all. The cats just crawled under the seats & wouldn’t budge. Once I found them & dragged them out they seemed fine. I also had a small dog about the size of a cat that I put in a carrier & took him to motorcycle rallies with me. I just strapped the carrier on the back seat. He seemed to like riding just fine. He especially liked the attention he got when we got to the rally.
I had a friend that had a Chihuahua that went everywhere with him. He always wore a vest of some kind and Hooch rode in that… Horse, Harley, Pickup… didn’t matter…
Wow! That’s great! It’s funny how kits take over and claim everything as there own. Keep us posted. When, where, you know all that stuff.
Your comment reminded me of when I was *trying* to set up my kitties playset. The center was a nylon pop-up thing and as soon as I got it open I had a cat inside. I had to wait until everyone had checked it out before I could finish putting the thing together. What should have taken 30 mins ended up taking 2 hours! It was the best 2 hours I have had in a long time.
“Gimme the camera. I want the camera!”
I’ve never had the honor of being owned by a ginger kitty, but those I’ve met have all been very sweet and playful (like little Jack in the picture). Kisses to him. Wish I had one!
Jack looks like he is ready to ask his lady faire to dance. Such a little sweetie.
Petey my furry nephew is a black/brown tabby when he starts purring he sounds like there is an outboard motor in his body.
Jack be nimble and I bet he’s quick, too!
My ginger cat was really really mean. She hated EVERYone. I guess she was born that way, but she was a gorgeous girl.
Jack is gorgeous too!
Jack on the Mat Fuzz
He is a handsome young kit.
Red-heads are special! My red boy, Booger, is loony! He is VERY lovey, almost “needy”, and has some odd personality quirks…. for instance, he used to pull the fur up from the mane around his neck (he’s a big Maine Coon) and nurse on it! He did this after he got too big to reach his belly fur! He would nurse this fur until he fell asleep and you could pull the fur out of his mouth and still see his little pink tongue flicking in and out. We used to say that he was in his “happy place.” What a goofball!
My Snickers does the same thing with his tail–he hops up on my bed (only on my bed!) and puts the tip of his tail into his mouth…when he gets up, his tail-tip looks like a wet paintbrush, and for the rest of the day he runs around the house with a bad case of tippy-tail! He’s got an orange personality, but he’s a gray-and-white kitty.
Snickers has found his “happy place,” too! Some people say it’s because they were weaned too soon, but my Booger was with his mommy until he was 4 months old, so that’s not the case here….maybe he just expects to be “babied”…so we oblige him!
You guys are lucky, they “nurse” on themselves, mine were an abandoned litter and one suckles on my neck at the hairline. Usually at 5AM.
My gracie has to sit on my lap every morning when I am trying to wake up and knead my tummy. She has a special purr that she only uses when she is in her “Happy Place” Thierry likes to crawl on my hip at night and knead my side and talk to me the whole time (usually 5:00 starts the kneading and talking) and Emma (AKA lump and AKA Couch Potatoe like to knead the couch cushions while being petted) I think they all retain the instinct regardless of time with Mama.
My all-black baby girl sucks on my blankets. It’s so cute.
I also have a ginger kitty — was going to call him Marmaduke or Duke for short, but the name his foster-mommy gave him “Pumpkin” just kind of stuck. He’s a goofball and a LOUDMOUTH OMG. YOWL! at 3 AM. He sits on the girls and goes to sleep. It’s very funny.
My old cat used to nurse anyway- the lambskin rug we had, my hair, a wooly jumper…
It was so cute though, this big old tough cat becoming a kitten again!
JACK ATTACK!!!! FUZZ
…….Happy Jack……………………..
*The Who Fuzz*
Good one Rosie! I have loved the Who since I was a young girl.Happy Jack is a great song.
*Comforts*
Err, that comfort was meant for the person who lost their orange kitty. Reply function seems to be not working.
I had to hit it twice to get it in the right place. Just a little kitty in the works maybe!?
Thank you, Rosie! This site is jam-packed with people who completely *get* what it feels like to love them, to lose them, and to go out and find more furbabies to love again. It’s what he would want me to do — rescue others, just as he was once rescued himself.:)
Thats great. I’m one of those who never say-no more. I’ve only had one cats for about 6 wks till i was able to get my twins!!! Then i had to get another, just because.
LOL I prefer a multi-cat household myself, and usually have about 4 of the darlings; but my orange boy was a one-cat-household kind of cat, and I deferred to his opinion. Now I’m going to seek out some siblings. This is the first time I’ve been catless in 21 years, I’m really hurting for some kitty love!
He’s a Jumpin’ Jack Fuzz
Jack In The Box!
Oh my gosh!!! My Kitten’s name is Jack and he looks just like that!!!!! Soooo cool!
Ohhh an action shot! What cute ginger fuzz!
I have a hard time getting action shots of my cat. I have a digital. Any suggestions?
I took this picture of my boyfriends little baby, and getting action shots of jack is really easy. He loves swatting at the wrist holder that’s connected to the camera. Any time my camera comes out, jack likes to play with that string.
sorry i should have added the picture becomes one big blurr if i take an action shot.
oh sorry. i guess i replied too quickly. to prevent the blurring, i think you just need to make sure you have a really good light source. taking pictures of them in bright places should clear up the blurring. hope it works!
Jack looks like he wants something NOW!
High Five Fuzz
Gimme 5 Fuzz
Oh my! We can play all day!! Love everyone’s comments (and everyday). Ultra creative today.
Smoochies for the fuzzbutts and hugs for everyone else!
Hold me, hold me, never ever, ever let me go FUZZ!!!
Where’s Dee???
Hi Chester! Glad to see you back…haven’t heard from Dee today. She was posting yesterday, though.
Glad to be back. Have been helping an oldergent remodel his patio so I can’t get on much during the day weekdays. But will post when I can. It really thrills me that alot of people on here have taken the time to be concerned. I’ve been made fun of for being on this sight but you know what. The daily posters on this sight have shown more compassion than my own blood family. Can’t help myself I love people & animals usually without fail. It has been my experience that people who like kittens & puppies, that aren’t afraid to show it, are kinder people. I may do another where we are from list after the New Year. So people start putting where you live by town or state or both so I can compile my list.
Chester down but not out. Happy Holidays to you & all.
Hi Chester, glad you are back and doing well. The fact that you admit without hesitation to love people and animals without fail makes you a very special and compassionate man. Don’t let what anyone says ever take that from you. All of us posters on TDK look out for one another. We are all one big extended family. So “brother” hang in there and we’ll look forward to hearing from you soon. Looking forward to your new list! Happy holidays to you and yours.
Jack is so cute. Looks like my Lady when she was little. Kisses to Jack!
He looks like a two-year-old saying, “Pick me Uuup!”
Jack looks like a big hearted, sunny rascal! In over a quarter century of being owned by cats, though, I’ve never had a ginger one. Maybe someday. Love that little Jack always!
You wanna start somethin’ bro? Love his concentration!
I had an orange tabby named Trouble and he was the greatest. My daughter brought him home to me on Mother’s Day. He was the third or fourth addition to our cat family. I told her that she was in trouble for bringing him home and the name Trouble stuck. He was the quirckiest, crazy cat I have ever had the pleasure of living with. He had a great sense of humor and I was broken hearted when he died at age one and still miss him to this day. My son just brought his two kittens home from college and now our cup runneth over with 5 felines that claim us as theirs! The poor dogs are out numbered!
No, no! The pleasure is all mine. Have a good day, sir!
(muts be read with fancy accent)B-)
Hi, your page is great. We also like all cats. Visit our page: http://www.seisgatos.blogspot.com , youll find pictures fron kitties trat live in my house, and others that i´ve meet in other places. Bye!
Your cats are beautiful! I really liked the one with many colors. How very sweet!
Wow, that siamese is gorgeous. And that one picture, the close up, of the ginger is really good. I love the ones where he’s (?) playing with the little kitty in the garden.
Jack has such a cute face. Nice pose too. Looks like he is saying “Please, pick me up!” My ginger cat is the same way. He wants me to hold him. As a baby, he would fling himself at my arms, because he wanted me to hold him.
Jack is a very beautiful Marmy! What a little handful. He looks like he has a great spunky spirit.
I have yet to be owned by one, and I hopen that the next addition to our kitty family will be a marmalde sweetite.
This playful kitty remids me of another.
A relative of mine owns a dairy farm. They had a cream and orange cat who loved to play. She would bat at your ankles as you walked around the barn, and soon won the name of streetfighter because of this. She was one of my favrites to see out of about thirty barncats, but during the last spring poor Streetfighter got hit by a car.
RIP, Streetfighter. We miss you.:))
Congrats on Jack! This has been a fun thread to read thru, and it’s been my experience also with several (I call them) orange tiger cats: they are the funniest, goofiest, most laid-back and lovable cats I’ve had. And one of them, Mr. Bill loved to fetch. He was also quite adept at slipping dollar bills out of a purse carelessly left in his reach! Have a wonderful, fun life with Jack!!
I have a 12 year old marmi named Tigger who pets people with his paw! (Especially if you are eating yogurt. Vanilla is his favorite–you would think it would be orange yagurt but its vanilla he likes the best) He can still run around the apartment like the wind and beat up the “alfa kitty ” and the 3 month old kitten too. He’s the kitty king of the cube dwellers.
can i trade one Jack fuzzbutt for one Jack husband? LOL
Jack, Jack–what a cute little pumpkin pie! He looks as yummy as an orange dreamsicle! And now I’m jealous…I wanna new kitty, too!
I had a big yellow tiger named “Tommy” that I absolutely adored as a kid. Such a lover! My maine coon cat loved to “nurse” too — he’d get a little fabric tab and nurse away. So sweet!
My boys got the runt of the litter orange. Super loud motor. He loves to head butt to say hi, I got a fat lip from him. Jack has that insatiable curiosity look to him. Good they have nine lives!
What’s that little guy jumping after? So cute.. great photo!
Jack is a cutie.
Jack looks like he wants to be picked up. I’ll hold you anytime, baby.
aw… the baby version of my pooker. so sweet!
I finally got me a Marmalade, a little lady named Sully, maybe about a year old. She’s driving the gray old lady (MsB, 14) nuts! And her purr must be broken because you can hardly hear it.
Aw, IT’S SO CUTE! It looks at bit like my Main Coon too
what? no kitten for the 29th? Kittenmaster, what’s up with that?
No… today’s kitten went online at the usual time:
http://www.dailykitten.com/archives/642-phoebe-2.html
Jack is so playful and sweet! Sounds like he’s got a winning personality. God take care of this baby always. 🙂
Jack is just too cute. he looks very playful and happy!
hey
he wants to play
Jack is so cute and he looks like one of my cats.
I love kitties. This one is very cute. It makes me want to hug a rainbow. You have some sweet kittens, and their pictures show their playful personalities!
